6th European Symposium on Research in Computer Security

October 46, 2000, Toulouse, France

The Symposium

Computer security is concerned with the protection of information in environments where there is a possibility of intrusion or malicious action. The aim of the European Symposium on Research in Computer Security (ESORICS) is to further the progress of research in computer security by establishing a European forum for bringing together researchers in this area, by promoting the exchange of ideas with system developers and users and by encouraging links with researchers in related areas.

Organised in a series of European countries, ESORICS is confirmed as the European research event in computer security. The symposium started in 1990 in Toulouse (France) and is now held every two years in different European countries and attracts audience from both the academic and industrial communities. Since 1992 previous editions of ESORICS have been in Toulouse (France), Brighton (United Kingdom), Roma (Italy), Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium).

ESORICS 2000  will be held in conjunction with RAID 2000 (3rd International Workshop on the Recent Advances in Intrusion Detection).

The language of the conference is in English.
